One of the “Three Teachings” of Chinese religious Culture is “Confucianism“.
Many people have been impacted by his teaching and philosophy and he remains influential today also.

- 己所不欲,勿施於人。
- “What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others.”

- 子貢問曰:“有一言而可以終身行之者乎?”子曰:“其恕乎!己所不欲、勿施於人。”
- Zi Gong [a disciple] asked: “Is there any one word that could guide a person throughout life?”
The Master replied: “How about ‘reciprocity’! Never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself.”-

As in Confucianism “some basic psycho-social functions of full-fledged religions are performed, It may be regarded as religious, even if non-theistic.
Confucianism beliefs are that human beings can be improved and taught to become the best version of themselves. They can become perfect through personal and communal endeavor,e especially self-cultivation and self-creation.
The Confucianism beliefs and ethical concepts, practices include
- rén,
- yì,
- and lǐ,
- and zhì.

Rén (仁, ‘benevolence‘ or ‘humaneness‘) means the essence of the human being which manifests as compassion. It is like the high moral standards of Heaven.

Yì (義/义) means act to upholding righteousness and the moral disposition to do good.

Lǐ (禮/礼) means a system of ritual norms and propriety that determines how a person should properly act in everyday life in harmony with the law of Heaven.

Zhì (智) means the ability to see what is right and fair, or the converse, in the behaviors exhibited by others.
xiào
According to Confucius, A good society can be found if one practice respecting his elders and ancestors. This practices called piety ( 孝, xiào). Piety means both religious and spiritually and can be considered as more oriented towards humanity.
Xiaojing (“Book of Piety”) is a book that talks about a conversation between Confucius and his student Zeng Shen (曾參). The motive of conversation is about setting up a good society using the principle of xiào

You are not yet able to serve men, how can you serve spirits?
This tells about the ideology of human compassion and works toward humanity.
