What Is Spirituality:?
Have you ever wondered What is the purpose of life?
What will happen when you die? Will you be aware of anything?
In almost all major religions, There is an idea of “Soul” that controls the body which you call as “I”.
To me When one starts to see himself not as a body but a spirit and in control of his mind and self, That is “Being Spiritual”.
In Bhagavad Geeta and many religious texts of religions across the world, The purpose of life is described as to attain the Supreme consciousness and liberation from all material world and senses.
“To be in One in Oneness – The Absolute Knowledge”.
Spirituality is a broad concept and has many different ideas in different parts of the world.
But in general, if you talk about spirit it means “animating or vital principle in man and animals” and the term “spiritual”, matters “concerning the spirit.
Traditionally, spirituality was considered a spiritual method of re-formation that “aims to recover the initial form of man” directed at “the image of God” as exemplified by the founders and sacred texts of the religions of the planet.
It refers to a life directed toward the Holy Spirit and to attain the Supreme Consciousness. The terms have broadened over time to include mental growth aspects.
Modern ideas regarding spiritualism tend to believe in
- A supernatural (beyond the dimensions we live and not observable with human senses),
- The act of personal growth,
- A quest for ultimate or sacred meaning,
- An encounter with one’s own “inner dimension.
